Article IX. Chief Executive Officer

Section 1. Employment

The Board of Directors may employ a full-time, salaried executive, to be referred to in these bylaws as the chief executive officer or such other title as the Board of Directors may determine from time to time, with the duties and authorities defined below. 

Section 2. Duties and Authority

The chief executive officer shall be responsible to the Board of Directions for the day-to-day administration of the affairs of the College; implementing policies and management directives as determined by the Board of Directors. The chief executive officer shall attend all regular meetings of the Board of Directors, the Executive Committee, the annual meeting, and special meetings of the College. He or she shall be responsible for the hiring, termination, and administration of such other staff of the organization that may be required in accordance with the policies and procedures established by the Board of Directors, and carry on correspondence of the College and all other business of the College as delegated by the Board of Directors. The chief executive officer shall receive all money belonging to the College, give a receipt thereof and turn all money over to the custody of or pursuant to the direction of the treasurer, and all other duties and tasks as directed by the Board of Directors or the president. He or she shall be paid a salary, the amount to be determined by the Board of Directors. 

Section 3. Bonding

The chief executive officer shall be bonded, at the expense of the College, in an amount and by a company determined by the Board of Directors.
